Land of Opportunity endeavors to make every effort to reach at risk and disadvantaged students between the ages 5-17. We desire to see the student succeed in every area of their life. Education is one area that is fundamental in the success of the student. The Land of Opportunity has established a program that fosters hope for student that has been suspended from school. Our enrichment program is designed to reach at risk student before they fall behind in school.

 

Suspensions and expulsion increase academic deterioration, and when students are provided with no immediate educational alternative, Suspension and expulsion from school are methods used by school administrators to decrease violence, discourage drudge abuse and criminal activities on campus. Suspension and expulsion are also used to deal with difficult and challenging behaviors.

 

Our objective is to improve student achievement. We will provide special attention to each individual student and provide necessary services to ensure success. We will communicate with local CMS school counselors and parents to ensure that student transition into program is successful.
